.For the second time in the last month, spy photographers have spotted prototypes for the 2010 Volkswagen Jetta — and it looks as though the Jetta’s chrome front end could be getting a bit subdued. Volkswagen brass has openly admitted that its cars have become too flashy and that future models will return to basics, and it looks as though that new philosophy could make it onto the new sedan.
With no camouflage at all, we can see that the modest changes include a freshened grill and a redesigned lower front fascia. There don’t appear to be any changes to the rear of the car or to the interior.
In one photo the changes are very apparent as our photographers were lucky enough to get a photo of a 2009 Jetta parked right next to the new, 2010 Jetta.
Look for the new Jetta to start production towards the end of 2008 or the early part of 2009
